At Crossing Point Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine Suraja Roychowdhury offers effective treatment strategies using the principles of Chinese medicine to guide you from your illness to health to wellness. Tessa Olson, Ma.O.M., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. practices acupuncture in Columbus, Ohio.
My first experience with acupuncture came in 2002. My dog, Milo, was struggling with arthritis in his legs, so I took him to my vet for treatment. The results for my 110 pound dog were amazing; Milo ran around like a puppy and was able to get in the car again by himself. I had developed an interest in natural health while living in Eugene, Oregon for 6 years, but wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do. After seeing the results for Milo, acupuncture became my interest and passion.
Tessa received a master’s degree with honors in Oriental Medicine -- specializing in acupuncture and Chinese herbs -- from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, MN. She is board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio. Her prior experience includes work at Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis with an Integrated Therapy Team – including reflexologists, music therapists, massage therapists, and aromatherapists. At Abbott Hospital, Tessa treated patients recovering from orthopedic surgery and also helped prepare patients for surgery. While at the Courage Center in Minneapolis, she treated patients recovering from stroke or paralysis. Tessa also worked at the Edith Davis Clinic in Bloomington, MN.
Tessa feels like we live in a society that is too fast-paced and stressful; acupuncture and Chinese medicine helps us to slow down, pause, heal, and reset ourselves. She is drawn to Chinese medicine because it provides individualized medicine based on the unique needs of a person. This is an important part of a lifestyle approach to whole body healing and wellness.

Shannon Caperton, L.Ac was inspired to become an acupuncturist after witnessing the power of this type of medicine. It improved the health of family members struggling with health issues and who were bereft of relief using standard medical care.
She attended graduate school at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago where she earned her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine. During her time in Chicago she was privileged to work in underserved communities at the Project Vida clinic in the Little Villages neighborhood on the city’s west side, as well as at Chicago Women's Health Center. In addition to these experiences, she worked extensively in the school’s student clinic, which prepared her for working with a diverse population and gave her the experience to treat a wide variety of disorders.

Jason Lee Roberg, L.Ac., MSTOM has been in the health and wellness field for almost 20 years. Joyce Leung Lilly specializes in men and women’s health, mental health and addictions. She treats a wide range of concerns – from back pain to emotional concerns, such as anxiety and depression. South Baylo University (SBU) clinics are dedicated on providing the highest quality of clinical education to the interns. SBU interns are trained to conduct standardized procedures, identify medical emergency situations, and develop treatment protocols for patients. Interns are educated to explain major concepts and theories of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM).
