She has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine/Human Biology) at RMIT and a Certificate of Advanced Clinical Practice at the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital, Nanjing, China. A Sarasota resident since 1996 Ms. Bociek had suffered for years from disabling pain and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. After exhausting Western medical treatment she turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She has since been living drug and pain free. This personal experience gives her a unique understanding of the physical, mental and financial toll an illness can take.

Her medical education continued at the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota where she received her Masters degree in Oriental Medicine and is now a Board Certified Acupuncture Physician.
