At High Country Doctor, you'll find a natural medicine practice run by the compassionate and skilled practitioner, Dr. Terence McCormick. It all started in the New York City area in 80's when Dr. McCormick was completing undergraduate coursework in biochemistry and other pre-medical studies. During his four years as a pre-med student, he worked as an assistant and apprentice to acupuncture and naturopathic doctors, graduating from various programs in Eastern and Western styles of manual therapies including naprapathy. After completing his undergraduate degree in public health, he went on to graduate from both a masters and doctoral program at one of the country's top natural medicine colleges in Portland, Oregon. As a doctoral fellow he was an acupuncturist intern at Oregon Health Sciences University Pain Center. He was also an intern at a World Health Organization (WHO) integrative medicine hospital in Nanjing, China. Since then, he's traveled the globe learning new techniques to help others with natural options for their healthcare. Dr. McCormick has completed apprenticeships and post-graduate clinical work with naturopathic physicians, naprapaths, medical doctors, osteopaths, Oriental and Ayrvedic medicine doctors along with various other world renowned practitioners in the natural medicine field. He is motivated by a desire to provide complementary care including alternatives to surgery and drugs. Dr. McCormick's practice provides several natural therapy options that address a wide range of health and wellness concerns. His practice serves Fort Collins, Colorado, Cheyenne, Wyoming and Rapid City, South Dakota. Sandy Root, AP, L.Ac., MSTOM, a FL & NY State Licensed Acupuncturist, graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York with her Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2009.

Sandy had clinical experience practicing acupuncture at the Saint Vincent’s Hospital -HIV Clinic, the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases – Initiative for Women with Disabilities, NYU Medical Center, and Pacific College Acupuncture Clinic, and now her own practice in Miami Beach, FL. She is also certified in Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.



Sandy loves to integrate the science, art, and wisdom of acupuncture into her practice. With her personal study of spiritual & consciousness practices, Sandy has the ability to facilitate and create a space where her patients are driven to empower themselves through the medicine. Jessica is licensed to practice acupuncture by the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is a diplomate of Oriental medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Jessica is a graduate of the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College where she received her master's degree. She is experienced in treating patients at private clinics, in hospitals and detoxification facilities. In addition, Jessica completed an internship at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. Prior to joining Carriage House Chiropractic and Acupuncture, Jessica maintained a private practice in Middletown, Pennsylvania.

When not at the office, Jessica enjoys family time! (Jessica and her husband, Dr. Eoin, have two sons named Graham and Caleb, and a cat named Cornelius.)
