She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Loyola University Chicago, a Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, also from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. They also have studied Chinese medicine and philosophy with Daoist master Jeffrey Yuen.

Michael has worked in the healing arts for over 20 years. In addition to being a National Board Certified Acupuncturist, he is a licensed Massage Therapist and Traditional Reiki Master. He developed and has been teaching the Massage Therapy Program at Stark State College in Canton for over 15 years.
