His degree combined both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. As a part of his course, he attended an internship at Shanghai Shuguang Hospital, China. Drawn to many of the mystical practices that originated in ancient China for most of my life, I’ve been a California state licensed acupuncturist since 2002 and a student of the Jade Purity branch of Daoism since 2001.

Johnson’s interest in acupuncture and herbal medicine grew from his practice of martial arts. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology from UC Berkeley and Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2002.
Johnson is a licensed acupuncturist with over 12 years experience in treating musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries. He has worked with athletes of all levels ranging from high school, college and professional sports.
He continues to update and renew his passion in traditional medicine with his ongoing trips to China and other parts of the world to learn and incorporate the natural medicine of different cultures into his practice.
