A native of Peabody, MA, Elizabeth graduated from Mt. Ida College in 1986 and Lesley University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Art Therapy.

After several years working in public and private sectors, Elizabeth witnessed the positive impacts of acupuncture and decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She graduated from the oldest school in the United States, the New England School of Acupuncture and is an NCCAOM Diplomate licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, Elizabeth pursued advanced acupuncture training in Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture protocol (“cosmetic acupuncture”) and Master Tung Acupuncture Style that advances patients recovery with minimal needles to bring about maximum response.

The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture practitioner believes holistic beauty is achieved by working on the inside to most effectively change the outside appearance, allowing innate beauty to emerge. Cosmetic acupuncture system is often referred to as an “acupuncture facelift” or “Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture”, but it is much more than a “cosmetic” procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help renew your skin’s appearance while promoting a healthy mind and body. Elizabeth studied the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture system under one of its developers, Dr. Martha Lucas, PhD, LAc., Doctor of Research Psychology, nationally certified and licensed to practice TCM. As a result, there is a reduction or elimination of both rosacea and acne by restoring harmony in the body and clearing "qi" blockages or nerve channels throughout the body.

Deborah Houseworth, LAc, in Seattle, offers specialized treatment for women in the Seattle area facing health challenges and seeking wellness, from menarche to menopause.During her 20 years as a family practitioner, Deborah has honed her skills in the treatment of the many conditions helped by East Asian medicine. Among these: musculoskeletal pain, neurological disorders, headaches, and other common complaints. Deborah has also developed a specialty in women’s health, offering wellness care and support for health challenges from menarche to menopause; as well as treatment for those wanting to enhance their fertility. She treats patients wherever they are on their fertility journey: whether just awakening to the desire to conceive, seeking wellness: or knowing that they face fertility challenges, wanting specific help with these using East Asian Medicine. Deborah completed a certificate program in the treatment of infertility at the Jade Institute in Seattle in 2008 and is adept at integrating acupuncture and herbal treatment with Assisted Reproductive Technologies, such as IVF. Deborah is available to continue care after conception and birth, to support patients as they face the challenges of caring for themselves and their child. Deborah is dually licensed as an East Asian Medicine Practitioner and Certified Couselor in Washington state. She is a preferred provider for Group Health and Regence.
