Dr. Kimberly Burger began attending acupuncture school in 1994 and graduated from The Academy of Advanced Complimentary Medicine in 1998 with a PhD in acupuncture and homeopathic medicine. Dr. Burger received clinical hours attending an acupuncture school in Columbo, SriLanka. With additional training in Dr. Tans Balance Method, Master Tung style and theory of acupuncture, interning with Dr. Chow Chen, certification in Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture and Macular Degeneration treatments to reverse and prevent continued degeneration of advancing eye diseases, Dr. Burger has a well rounded education with 29 years of clinical experience in the Chinese medical field of Traditional and Pre-Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2011 Dr. Burger moved her practice to beautiful Maui, Hawaii and was licensed in Hawaii in 2015 and has been serving the west side of Maui in Lahaina. In November 2023 after the Lahaina fires, Dr. Burger relocated her practice to Wailea and has added HBOT to her new location.

Dr. Burger uses Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to enhance and expedite the overall results of acupuncture treatments as well as to eliminate inflammation, pain and heal from chronic diseases including long haul covid and vaccine injury. HBOT is also used to enhance and promote collagen and keratin production in anti aging and cosmetic facial acupuncture.

Through the use of fine, micro acupuncture needles along with Clayton Shagal Marine Collagen skin care line, Dr. Burger offers an anti-aging or age reversal facial treatment that will reduce or reverse fine lines and wrinkles, lift and tighten the facial muscles and neck to produce a youthful, healthier and glowing appearance with results that last for up to 5 years post treatment.

Through the use of scalp needles, HBOT and electronic muscle stimulation, Dr. Burger offers a very successful treatment for post stroke recovery, neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, MS, ALS, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and spinal cord injuries.

Through the use of essential oils, acupuncture, herbs and hyperbaric medicine, Dr. Burger is helping to support patients with cancer who are undergoing traditional treatments with an oncologist or have chosen to receive the non traditional treatment using ancient chinese medicine, herbs, essential oils, HBOT and the amazing power of prayer.

Sarah is an intuitive healer who uses traditional Chinese medicine to treat the underlying root causes of disease pattern and disharmony in the body. Sarah's treatments strengthen the system so that the body can naturally return to a state of balance. This way, as ailments are relieved, signs and symptoms do not return. The patient will be empowered with the knowledge to maintain his or her wellbeing and overall health. Traditional Chinese medicine is unique in its ability to bring success to any treatment plan by means of primary or complementary healthcare. Sarah's particular interests include internal medicine, emotional disorders, women's health, and pain management. Sarah's private practice has grown out of extensive experience treating patients in a variety of clinical experiences, including community acupuncture, MD offices, and hospital settings.

Sarah is earning her doctorate in Chinese Medicine and is also earning a specialization diploma in dermatology. She received her master's of science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) at the Pacific College of Oriental College. She is nationally board certified (NCCAOM) in traditional Oriental medicine, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine, and maintains state licensure in acupuncture for both California and New York.

The methods used at my practice are aimed toward giving the body synergism—not just treating symptoms temporarily or numbing pain with numerous medications. I strive to help the body heal itself from within, by treating the root and not just the branch of a problem. I use a wide variety of modalities that best serve the individual needs of the patient: acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, herbal formulas, Tui Na (Asian Bodywork), and Kinesiotaping. These methods can be integrated with Western approaches as well. Your treatment will be a partnership: discussed, understood, and agreed upon. While a particular procedure may be indicated for specific purposes, I believe the path to health is best navigated complemented by knowledge and awareness of a patient’s needs and goals.
I am a diplomate of the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I received my Master’s degree from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, one of the most respected acupuncture schools in the United States. My coursework involved 3,000 hours of study in acupuncture, Chinese herbs and herbal formulas, as well as Western medical training, including over 900 hours of supervised clinical training.
