On your first visit you will meet with one of our providers, where you can share your health concerns and they can learn about your unique health and wellness goals. If it feels like the right fit for you, they will perform a thorough examination, including a detailed medical history. The second visit to the office is a chance to review the results of the tests, performed and to present any abnormal findings. You will be given our best recommendation for resolving these problems and reaching your health and wellness goals. Marcelle is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the State of California. She graduated from Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA) in 2015 with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is currently enrolled at Yo San to complete her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Since 2001 Marcelle has been a professional bodyworker, beginning as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) she spent the better part of a decade working in some of Southern California's premiere spas and wellness centers, and had the privilege of teaching Swedish massage for three years. She also studied a variety of vibrational healing techniques such as Reiki and Medical QiGong. Marcelle's background in bodywork and massage pairs well with acupuncture, and she is very experienced in a variety of techniques to help you stop chasing pain. Her treatments specialize in pain management, herbal medicine, and cosmetic acupuncture.

Marcelle is a self-proclaimed "plant nerd" and enjoys hiking, camping, and teaching people about the plants around them. She is a Leo, a metal Rooster, and a cat person.

Our office specializes in Women's health issues and couple's fertility. We also work on pain cases and other health complaints that come through our doors.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, disease contains two parts analogous to the roots and branches of a tree. The symptoms are like branches, and if you only treat them, the same roots will soon grow the same symptoms again. To effectively heal, one must address the root cause of the of illness so the tree may grow healthy branches. Additionally, two people may both experience a similar disease but have very different underlying root causes. Likewise, two others may have very different diseases but have the same root cause. At Rooted Medicine, Andrea Hingst L.Ac. MSOM, draws from experiences in integrated hospitals and private practice to combine traditional Chinese therapies with modern functional medicine to identify each individual’s unique foundational imbalance to heal from the roots up.

Natalie Vail is an ordained Spiritualist minister, licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, certified spiritual energy healer, psychic-medium, feng shui consultant and Birth Doula. She was born and raised in California and knew from the age of 4 that she wanted to be an alternative health care practitioner. By the time she was 8 year old, Natalie began studying energy healing and mediumship. She is certified by Harmony Grove Spiritualist Association’s Institute as a Spiritual Healer and Psychic-Medium and is ordained through Grace Spiritual Center in Encinitas, California.

Through a series of divinely orchestrated events, Natalie was led to study the ancient healing practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine and graduated from Pacific College in 2011 with a Master's of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the State of California as well as an NCCAOM Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and is currently finishing her Doctorate.

Before beginning her studies of Chinese Medicine, Natalie graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Music.

Natalie uses her healing and intuitive gifts in her everyday life and is committed to her own spiritual development. She views her role as a Healer to be an integral part of her life’s purpose and believes that every person possesses the innate ability to heal. Her vision is to be a facilitator who empowers and motivates people towards wellness in every aspect of their being.
