Dr. Julie Tran, ND, LAc of Blue Skyes Acupuncture strives to blend her Asian roots with Western cultural influences through the practice of Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Tran is passionate about educating others in complementary medicine with a specific focus on lifestyle choices, qi gong, and holistic well-being. She is a licensed naturopathic doctor, licensed acupuncturist, and herbalist. She is also a certified nutrition specialist and a Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage) practitioner.

Kim E. Reid is a Florida licensed acupuncturist, having graduated from The Atlantic Institute for Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine. She is also licensed to practice Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy in the state of Florida.

In addition to her years of standard clinical experience, Kim was lucky enough to be chosen to practice Acupuncture internationally while working for Carnival Cruise Lines and Holland American Cruise Lines. "The most amazing thing about working on the ships, was that I was able to treat a wide variety of diseases. Just by the diverse nature of the guests on-board, I saw patients from all walks of life who sought my services for diabetes, fibromyalgia, erectile dysfunction, shoulder pain, low back pain, restless leg syndrome, stress and anxiety and much more."

In additional to her clinical work, Kim has delivered hundreds of informational seminars helping to educate people who would otherwise never have tried Acupuncture, "my biggest reward is watching someone who walked into the seminar doubtful and afraid of acupuncture but deciding to take a chance and try it for the first time. There is no greater honor than to have someone have such trust in you and your abilities to help them heal. But I have to tell you, the biggest reward was watching these people get up off the table relaxed, amazed and feeling better; no longer doubtful about Chinese Medicine and its power to help heal the body."

Kim is a dedicated professional and is passionate about Chinese Medicine. In addition to the many modalities practiced by Chinese Medicine, Kim is a firm believer in the medicinal effects of Herbal Medicine. Before I pursued medicine, I embarked on a much more “traditional” career path. After graduating from Columbia University in New York City with a B.S. in Engineering and Management Systems, I worked for Ernst & Young, Thomson Financial, and other Wall Street firms as a strategy consultant and pharmaceutical compliance analyst. My previous work experience has been extremely beneficial as it has helped me to understand the unique pressures and stresses that many of my patients experience.
